Booking and prices
How do I book Hans Grane?
Send the date, the place and what you are planning via the contact page. Hans replies within 24 hours to get the conversation started.
How far ahead should you book?
The sooner the better for peak dates. Christmas party season and early June book first for corporate events. In Barbados and the Caribbean, December to April goes first. If your date is close, ask anyway. It sometimes works.
What does it cost?
Most corporate bookings run $5,000 to $15,000 USD plus travel, quoted per event (full breakdown in the Corporate events section below). Two offers have published pricing: team building from $2,500 per session or $6,000 for a full day, and private villa shows in Barbados from $2,000. Hans quotes every event on its own and gets back to you within 24 hours to start the conversation.
Is there a deposit?
For private villa shows in Barbados, a 50% deposit holds the night. For corporate bookings, Hans confirms the date in writing once you accept the quote.
Does the price include travel?
In Barbados, yes. For Caribbean corporate events, travel is built into the quote. For team building and events further afield, travel and accommodation are quoted with the booking, at cost.
How fast does Hans reply?
Within 24 hours. Usually faster.
The shows
What kinds of shows does Hans Grane perform?
Four formats that combine into a full evening: a comedy magic stage show (20 to 45 minutes), mingle magic during cocktails and dinner, MC and hosting for the whole event, and team building built around magic. Plus private parties.
How long is the stage show?
15 to 45 minutes, shaped to fit your night and paced to land right after dinner.
How big an audience does the stage show work for?
Up to around 30 guests it is self-contained. A microphone and stage lighting cover larger rooms up to around 200; above 200, add AV and a camera relay.
What is mingle magic?
Hans moves between your guests during cocktails, receptions or at the tables, performing close-up magic at point-blank range. Zero setup, 60 to 90 minutes of working the room.
Does Hans need a stage or any setup?
For close-up and mingle magic, no. He arrives and starts, and for a small group he can bring a compact speaker if you want one. For stage shows in larger rooms, the basic AV every venue has: sound, a mic and stage lighting.
Is the show in English?
The show works in English or Norwegian, built for international audiences, and the magic needs no translation, so it lands with any nationality in the room.
Can the show be tailored to your company?
Yes. Tell Hans the milestone, the people and the inside jokes and he builds them in. Done well enough that your guests will assume he works there.
Will Hans single out or embarrass your guests?
No. Hans reads the room. Your guests are part of the fun, never the butt of the joke. People walk away feeling great, not got at.
Is it suitable for a mixed corporate crowd?
Yes. The show is built for adults and tailored to the room. A family-friendly version is available on request.
Corporate events
How much does it cost to book Hans Grane for a corporate event?
Most corporate bookings land between $5,000 and $15,000 USD, plus travel, depending on how much of the night Hans is carrying. A single appearance, a stage show, a keynote, mingling magic at a reception, or hosting your event, runs $5,000 to $10,000, depending on the format and the length of the day. A full evening, where Hans hosts, mingles and performs, or builds a keynote around the magic, runs $10,000 to $15,000. These are a guide, not a fixed rate. Every event is quoted on its own once Hans knows the date, the room, and what you are trying to pull off. Send the date and Hans gets back to you within 24 hours to start the conversation. Local dates, private parties and charity nights are priced separately, just ask. Superyacht bookings start at $5,000 plus travel.
What does an MC actually do at a corporate event?
Hans runs the night end to end: opens the room, introduces speakers, handles awards and timing, and keeps the energy up between segments. One experienced person holding the whole evening together.
Can Hans MC and perform magic at the same event?
Yes, and it is the strongest combination. A typical gala: mingle magic at cocktails, Hans MCs through dinner and awards, then the stage show as the after-dinner centrepiece. One booking, one brief.
What does team building with magic actually look like?
Not a show your team watches. Something they do. Everyone learns a real magic trick, works it out in small groups, and performs it for the room. Four steps, each a slightly bigger dare than the last. 90 to 120 minutes, 20 to 25 people, up to three sessions a day. Full format on the team building page.
Which islands does Hans cover for Caribbean events?
All of them. Barbados is home, and St. Lucia, Grenada, Antigua, Trinidad, St. Vincent, Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands and the Dominican Republic are a short flight away. Details on the Caribbean corporate page.
Why book a Barbados-based entertainer instead of flying one in?
Cost and risk. A performer from the US or Europe means long-haul flights, connection risk and two extra hotel nights on your budget. Hans is already in the region, arrives fresh, and has worked Caribbean resort venues for years.
Does it work for an international, mixed-language audience?
Yes. The material is visual and in clear English, built for rooms where ten nationalities share a table.
Can one booking cover a multi-day retreat?
Yes, and it usually should: a close-up icebreaker on arrival night, the team session mid-program, and the show on the final evening. One brief, one performer, the whole arc. See retreat entertainment.
Private parties and villa shows
What private events does Hans perform at?
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, family gatherings, dinner parties and yacht evenings. If it is worth celebrating, it fits. See the private parties page.
How many guests does a private party show work for?
Close-up magic from ten guests. The intimate show works comfortably up to about sixty. Bigger than that, add a microphone and it scales.
What does a private villa show in Barbados cost?
The Table Experience starts at $2,000, the Living Room show at $3,000. Travel anywhere in Barbados is included. Full details on the villa show page.
Indoor or outdoor?
Either. Tell Hans the space and he will make it work. For outdoor events there is always an agreed plan B before the night, so the weather is never your problem.
Are kids welcome at a private show?
The show is built for adults, but a family-friendly version is available. Grandparents and teenagers end up arguing about the same trick.
Can Hans perform on a yacht or in a restaurant?
Yes. Villas, yachts, restaurants, private dining rooms. For yachts he will want a quick word about space and power.
