Hans Grane has been a full-time magician and comedian since 2012. He has performed on television in more than a dozen countries, achieved top placements at both the Norwegian and the Nordic championships of magic, performed on cruise ships from Hawaii to India, and played corporate stages for audiences in the thousands. Today he runs his own theatre in Barbados. Five years of sold-out shows and a new production every season.
A dozen countries of television
Hans has appeared on the Got Talent stage in country after country.
Norway (Norske Talenter), Sweden (Talang), Denmark, Germany (Das Supertalent), the United Kingdom (Britain’s Got Talent), Spain (Got Talent España), Bulgaria and the Czech-Slovak edition among them. Add the rest of his broadcast work and the count passes a dozen countries. The same act, a dozen different languages of applause.
Recognition, and the agency’s pick
Hans took a top placement at the Norwegian Championships of Magic, the year no first place was awarded. He followed it with a top placement at the Nordic Championships, judged against the best close-up and stage acts in Scandinavia. Peer-judged, not audience-voted. The people scoring him do this for a living.
And MOUS, one of Norway’s long-running entertainment agencies, named him their Most Valued Performer. The people who book acts for a living, betting on the one they trust to deliver.
Where he learned to hold a room
- Wallmans Salonger, Oslo. Two full seasons as a house artist. Close-up at every table, then three stage numbers a night. Around 250 shows in all, more than 40,000 guests in the first season alone. The fastest way to learn to read a room is to do it every night for a year. Twice.
- Cruise ships. Performed at sea from Europe to Hawaii and India, with two major contracts aboard and other lines asking since.
- The Barbados Magic Lounge. His own 30-seat theatre, five years running, a brand-new show every season.
